B.Pharmacy (Lateral Entry)

Passed or appeared in Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.

Appearing Candidates Provision:

D.Pharm appearing students must produce their final qualifying result at the time of physical reporting to prove eligibility.

Bridge Subject Rule:

D.Pharm holders entering direct 2nd year must clear any 1st-year B.Pharm subjects not covered in D.Pharm.

A comprehensive guide to securing your B.Pharmacy Lateral Entry seat through OCET.

Step 1: Preparation and Eligibility

  • Read the Brochure: Read the admission brochure available at hstes.org.in or techeduhry.gov.in.
  • Check Eligibility (See Chapter 3.3):
    • You must have passed the D.Pharmacy course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) under Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
  • Note: D.Pharm holders admitted directly to the 2nd year of B.Pharm will have to pass those subjects of the B.Pharm 1st year which are not covered in their D.Pharm curriculum.

Step 2: Online Registration for OCET-2026

  • Timeline: Registration opens on 26.05.2026 and closes on 09.07.2026.
  • Website: Visit techadmissionshry.gov.in.
  • Sign Up: Provide your PPP ID (Haryana residents) or Aadhaar number. Personal details will be auto-fetched from the PPP database.
  • Fill Application Form: Complete all required fields. Clearly opt for the course "B.Pharmacy (Lateral Entry)".
  • Upload Documents: Upload required documents, recent photograph (max 30KB) and signature (max 20KB).
  • Pay Registration Fee (Non-refundable):
    • General Category: ₹1000/-
    • All Reserved Categories (SC/SCD/BC/PH/FF/ESM/Girls/EWS): ₹700/-
    Payment can be made online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or UPI.

Step 3: Download Admit Card & Appear for Exam

  • Admit Card: Available for download from 13.07.2026.
  • Exam: OCET-2026 is scheduled for 16.07.2026. It is 90 minutes long with 90 multiple-choice questions covering the D.Pharmacy curriculum (Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, etc.).

Step 4: Check OCET Result & Rank

The inter-se-rank for B.Pharmacy (Lateral Entry) will be displayed on the official admission portal on 22.07.2026.

Step 5: Participate in Online Counseling

Admission is based on the rank obtained in OCET-2026. Two rounds of centralized counseling will be conducted online off-campus.

  • Physical Reporting: 28-30 Jul 2026

2nd Counseling

  • Choice Filling: 03-05 Aug 2026
  • Seat Allotment: 06 Aug 2026

  • Login: Use your Unique Application Number and Password.
  • Locking Choices: Mandatory to lock choices; otherwise, last filled choices are final.
  • Upgradation: If upgraded in 2nd counseling, the previous seat is automatically cancelled.

Step 6: Document Verification

  • Download provisional seat allotment letter.
  • Pay semester fees.
  • Submit original documents for verification. (Institute will not retain original certificates).

Step 7: Final Admission

After successful verification and fee payment, the institute will issue a system-generated Provisional Admission Slip. Your admission is confirmed!
