Admission Process in Haryana

1 Check Eligibility

Before starting the application, candidates must ensure they meet the minimum academic qualifications.

• Qualifying Exam: Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following: Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship.
• Minimum Marks: Obtained at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category candidates) in the above subjects taken together.
• Alternative Qualification: Passed a minimum 3-year Diploma examination with at least 45% marks (40% for reserved category).

Special Categories

• KM: Kashmiri Migrants (5% supernumerary seats).
• HGST: Haryana Govt. School Topper (One seat per branch).
• TFW: Tuition Fee Waiver (5% seats for family income < ₹8 Lakh).
• EWS: Economically Weaker Section (10% supernumerary seats).

2 Online Registration

Register at techadmissionshry.gov.in ↗

• Timeline: Mid-May to late June.
• Haryana Candidates: Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) ID is mandatory. System fetches and verifies details (name, category, income) from the PPP database. Unverified data will lead to General Category consideration.
• Other State Candidates: Aadhaar Number is required.
• Document Upload: Scanned copies of photograph (JPG, Max 30KB), signature (JPG, Max 20KB), and relevant category certificates (e.g., EWS, KM, HGST).
• Registration Fee: ₹1000 for General Category, ₹700 for Reserved Categories (SC/BC/PH/FF/ESM/KM/Girls). Paid online and non-refundable.

3 Counseling and Choice Filling

Two main online counseling rounds for 75% of seats in private institutes and all seats in government institutes. Log in to fill choices of institutes and branches in priority order.

4 & 5 Allotment & Reporting

Step 4: Seat Allotment

• Announced by NIC on the counseling website based on JEE (Main)-2026 rank, category, and choices filled.
• Download Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.

Step 5: Physical Reporting

• Report within specified dates (late June/early July).
• Deposit the semester fee.
• Produce all original documents for verification. Institute generates Provisional Admission Slip.
• Failure to report by the deadline leads to automatic forfeiture of the seat.

6 & 7 Upgradation & Institute Level

Step 6: Upgradation (2nd Round)

• By participating in 2nd counseling, your previous seat is automatically cancelled if a new seat is allotted.
• Do not participate if satisfied with 1st round seat.

Step 7: Institute-Level (25% Seats)

• Private institutions fill 25% of intake directly.
• After 2nd counseling, all remaining vacant seats are filled at the institute level based on JEE (Main)-2026 merit without reservation.

8 Final Cut-off and Reporting

• The final cut-off date for all admissions (including institute-level) is as per the AICTE academic calendar (mid-September).
• Institutes must upload the final list of all admitted candidates online on the intra-portal by the final cut-off date.
